Hands-on experience is a key element of the museum education programme
The new International Newspaper Museum offers a broad museum education programme for adults, children, adolescents and school classes. Lectures and workshops as well as readings and film screenings take place in the education room. It seats about 40 people and is equipped with the latest technology for a range of different events.
In addition to guided tours for all age groups given by trained members of staff, the International Newspaper Museum also offers workshops on historical and media-science topics. This sort of hands-on experience is a key element of the museum education programme, and is particularly suitable for school classes and adolescent groups. Under the supervision of a member of the museum staff, the groups find their own approaches to a topic, discussing it or exploring it hands-on.
